How Sterling works

Meet Sterling.
Your goals. Your day. Your next step.

Sterling is an AI personal assistant who coordinates help across the Realm ecosystem. You bring the goal — Sterling brings the right specialist, the right tools, and the next concrete step.

The experience

Four steps, one conversation.

1

Tell Sterling what you need

Start with an everyday task, a bigger ambition, or take the optional diagnostic to discover how you're wired. There's no wrong starting point.

2

Connect what matters

Authorize the accounts Sterling should work with — email, calendar, documents — and choose the personal or organizational context for this goal.

3

Work with the right help

Sterling handles what it can directly and brings in Mason, Atlas, Barnabas, or Evera when their expertise fits. They hand off to each other — you just keep talking.

4

Review and move forward

See drafts, deliverables, and task status in one place. Anything that affects the outside world waits for your explicit approval first.

Ways to work

Chat today. Voice on the way.

Chat Available

Voice Planned

Spoken conversations with Sterling are on the roadmap but not functional in LegacyRealm yet. When voice arrives, it will share the same memory and context as chat.

Specialist help

The right expert, at the right moment.

Sterling coordinates. Each specialist owns their craft. Here's who does what:

M

Mason BusinessRealm — careers, education, business

"Draft my résumé from my LinkedIn profile, then find three roles worth applying to."

A

Atlas BookRealm — writing and books

"Turn my forty pages of notes into a chapter outline."

B

Barnabas DiscipleRealm — growth and discipleship

"Build my morning rhythm into my calendar."

E

Evera EveraRealm — stories and preservation

"Start a capture session about my father's stories."

Knowledge and memory

It remembers what matters.

What Sterling can access

Your goals, your diagnostic results, your conversation history, and — once connected — the accounts you've authorized. Nothing else. Sterling can't see accounts you haven't connected or files you haven't shared.

What gets saved

Conversation context, your goals and roadmap, diagnostic results, and completed work. Saved to your account so every session picks up where the last one ended.

Controls you have

Review what's saved, correct it in conversation, and disconnect any account at any time. Disconnecting revokes access immediately — Sterling can't reach what isn't connected.

What isn't shared

Your data isn't sold or used to train shared models. Each member's workspace is their own.

Permissions

Connected isn't authorized.

Connecting an account lets Sterling see — it never authorizes Sterling to act. Every consequential action needs your explicit approval, every time.

  • 🔌
ConnectingGrants read access so Sterling can find your interview email or check your calendar. Revocable anytime.
  • ✋
Per-action approvalSending an email, creating a calendar event, publishing anything — each one is proposed first, executed only when you say yes.
  • 📋
Standing instructions PlannedPre-approved patterns for routine actions (like "always draft, never send") are on the roadmap — not active today.

Credits

One balance, no surprises.

Membership includes a shared allowance of Sterling Credits for AI-assisted work. One balance covers every agent and every Realm.

  • 🎁
Included benefitsYour membership comes with a monthly allowance. Reading, reviewing, and downloading your completed work never uses credits.
  • ➕
Additional usageNeed more than the included allowance? Top-up options are planned — no automatic charges, no surprise overages, ever.
  • 👁️
Cost previewsBefore any significant work begins, you'll see what it will use. Variable-cost actions show an estimate and a maximum you'll approve.

Honest limits

What Sterling won't pretend.

Clear boundaries are a feature. Here's where the line sits:

✓ Drafting

Sterling drafts emails, documents, plans, and posts in your voice — ready for your review.

— Sending

Nothing goes out without your explicit approval. A draft is a draft until you say otherwise.

✓ Researching

Sterling gathers information, compares options, and surfaces what matters for your decision.

— Confirming

Sterling doesn't verify facts it can't check, and won't present research as confirmed truth.

✓ Suggesting

You'll get concrete recommendations — the next step, the better phrasing, the smarter sequence.

— Completing

A suggested action isn't a completed one. Sterling shows its work; you decide what's done.

  4. It lands in your real tools.Rhythm blocks on your calendar, the plan in your notes — where you'll actually see them.Planned — calendar and notes connections not live yet.
